Philly Punk Rock band from the early 90’s that released a 7 inch and cd on Black Hole Records. Dave Birtwell (Crib Death, Blunder Boys, The New Byles, Blue Train), send me a copy of the Demo tape. He was bass player on a few of the tracks on the cd. (Thanks Dave)
A little Love Gutter history*. The seeds of Love Gutter were in 1987 or ’88. Jim was managing the Philly band Stalins Daughter. But he wanted to make music. So he grabbed co-worker Brett to sing. Veetha was a fan of Stalins Daughter and she had a couple tunes she wanted to do. Drummers were hard find, so they poached Rush from Stalins Daughter. The name of the band was Wykkyd Pyss. They ran in the studio and recorded a few tunes. It’s important to note that Jim was on bass and Veetha was on guitar. One of the songs from the session is on the Love Gutter CD. “Lizard Man”. If you are wondering who did the guitar lead that pervades the song it was a guy named Vince Perri. Wykkyd Pyss only performed once. It was at a Halloween Party in Rush’s basement.
