Bardo Pond

A hard band to describe so I’m going to use the one fromtheir own siteBardo Pond’s music traverses space rock, acid rock, post-rock, shoegaze, noise, Krautrock and psychedelia. They have been around since the early 90’s and have a lot of releases. While writing this I feel like it has been a while since I’ve seen them but hopefully I’ll rectify that sometime soon. I’m just putting up a few live videos and live tapes (there are many many more out there) – Pete Fasolo’s Live video from Astrocade and when they were on his WKDU show Drug Music. Plus two Chicago show from the Aadam Jacobs Audio Archive.

Sounds from Psychedelphia

Sounds from Psychedelphia is a ten track, 55 minute sonic excursion into the distorted, frenetic Philadelphia underground music scene. Recorded entirely at Philadelphia’s Deep Space Recording Company, the compilation took over a year to complete. From 60’s inspired pop delivered by The Three 4 Tens and Photon Band – to the acid tinged freak-out of Aspera Ad Astra and The Asteroid #4 – to the avant garde edge of Azusa Plane & Bent Leg Fatima Sounds from Psychedelphia is a mind-expanding musicality ready to be experienced.
