Late 80’s, 90s Philly band (although still around today as a duo). They have 2 full length LP’s and a compilation of their singles (links below) on apple music. I’ve included the rest of the songs from the singles, youtube version of the first cassette release and a live reunion show from the Khyber in 2004.
History of the band from Wikipedia In 1988, Stephen P. Anderson, under the moniker of Zonic Shockum, recorded a 17-song cassette titled Pleasure which received distribution through Sound Choice mail-order catalog and Tower Records in Philadelphia and garnered a positive review in the German music magazine Zap. The tape featured girlfriend Debbie Polak singing on one song, and co-worker Marc Sonstein programming drums for another. Anderson’s cover of “Chinese Rock” was carted at Drexel University’s 91.7 for regular airplay.
In 1989 Polak and Sonstein joined Anderson as permanent members to form the nucleus of the performing and writing outfit. Read More at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zonic_Shockum

Sister Double Happiness was an alternative blues rock band that existed from 1986 until 1995, formed in San Francisco, CA, United States. It’s core members were Gary Floyd and Lynn Perko, who were in the seminal punk rock band The Dicks, and Ben Cohen of the Pop-O-Pies. Thanks for the tape files Don Sheluga.
Philly five-piece S-21 made politically-charged punk rock 2015 – 2017 S-21 was Cella (Fugitive Family), Brian (Fugitive Family), Nneka, Tiff (Haldol) and Cassidy (Blank Spell, Cape Of Bats, Destructos). My friend Bret gave me the files from their live set on WFMU – but I found FMU had already posted it on the freemusicarchive (see link to it below). So, instead I pieced together everything I could find for S-21 so here are their recordings and some live videos for YouTube.
Philadelphia tape compilation from 1987 with a wide mix of musical styles. Bands included are Executive Slacks, Ruin, The Stick Men, Uh-Oh, Charles Cohen, Jim Meneses, The Ambush Bugs, The Heathens, Woz, Interplay, Jack Wright, Da Pliar, Peter Rose, Stephen DiJoseph, Increase The Angle, The Shamanistics, Lump, The Polite Force & Peggy Carrigan. The original wav file is here https://archive.org/details/noise-arch_ww-mfp. It is one file for each side of the tape – I edited out the different tracks from the original file.
Psychic TV bargain with Genesis P-Orridge (RIP) and Alex Fergusson (Alternative TV) in 1981 after the break-up of Throbbing Gristle. After they released 17 albums with Allegory and Self (1988) P-Orridge became interested in the burgeoning acid house and techno movements. Alex Fergusson left soon after and was replaced by techno artist Fred Giannelli, They embarked on a long tour of the US and UK in 1988, Europe in 1989 and another long tour of the United States in 1990. These two live tapes where from that tour. (Thanks for the files Don) You can find their music at these two bandcamp sites https://psychictv.bandcamp.com/ & https://psychictv-ptv3.bandcamp.com/
To the best of my knowledge all of the music links are for recordings that are out of print but if you enjoy what you hear, buy other records and support the artist(s) and/or labels: if you don't approve of having your material displayed and would like to have it down...
